The Combined Military Services Museum holds a nationally important collection of military artefacts. We tell the story of the British fighting forces from the medieval period to the present day.
Exhibits include the only surviving Cockle Canoe from the Cockleshell Raid, military vehicles, arms, armour, the Donnington gun collection, our famous SOE and Spy collections and Special Forces collection. We are also proud to hold the only known Viking sword found in Maldon.
With exhibits over three floors there is plenty to discover from 800 BC to modern warfare and the social history of the Home Front.
