Maldon’s Community Climate Action Workshop: Be Part of the Solution!

Maldon residents, local councils, businesses, schools, and community groups are being invited to take part in an interactive and solutions-focused workshop aimed at tackling climate change and shaping a community-led energy plan.

The Community Climate Action Workshop will take place on Sunday, March 23rd, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Maldon Town Hall. This free event will bring together local people and organizations to create practical strategies for making Maldon a greener, more sustainable place to live.

A Hands-On Approach to Climate Action

The workshop will focus on real-world solutions, empowering attendees to take meaningful climate action. The event will feature:

✅ Expert speakers sharing insights on community-led energy and sustainability.
✅ Interactive sessions to co-develop a Community Climate Action Plan.
✅ Hands-on activities exploring energy efficiency, biodiversity, sustainable food, housing retrofits, and active transport.
✅ Collaboration opportunities to connect with like-minded individuals and organizations.
✅ Practical tools & funding advice to turn ideas into action.

Local councils, businesses, schools, faith groups, sports clubs, and passionate residents are all encouraged to attend and contribute to this important conversation.

Why Now?

The climate crisis is one of the most pressing challenges of our time, and systemic change is needed. However, large-scale change starts locally. This workshop will help the Maldon community develop a shared vision for reducing emissions, increasing biodiversity, and making the town more resilient to climate impacts.

Join Us – And Enjoy Cake!

Alongside tackling climate change, the event promises a welcoming and engaging atmosphere, complete with free tea, coffee, sandwiches, and cake for all attendees.

“This isn’t just another climate talk – it’s a practical, action-driven event where people will leave with a plan and the tools to make real change,” said event organizers.

How to Sign Up

Spaces are limited, so attendees are encouraged to register in advance. Tickets are free and available via Eventbrite.
