Welcome to Promenade Park in Maldon, the largest waterside park in Essex, providing a fun-filled, family friendly destination all year round with amazing events and activities throughout the year. Nestled between the historic high street and Blackwater Estuary, the park features a water Splash Park, beach huts and deckchairs for hire, sandpits, galleon play ship and aerial zip-wire, model boating and crabbing lake as well as cafe kiosks and picnic areas. There's a packed programme of events and activities planned each year, or just come and enjoy the peaceful walks and beautiful sea views.
About us
The park was opened in 1895 to provide the people of Maldon and the surrounding areas with a valuable amenity and public space. 'The Prom' as it is has become known locally, is a great place to walk, sit or play and stopping to watch the activity on the river always makes for an interesting family day out.

Easy access via public transport on he 31, 331, 332, 75, 95, 288 bus routes. The nearest bus stop is at the entrance gates on Mill Road (Stop ID: esxgjamt).
Admission to the park is free although some facilities, such as the Splash Park, are chargeable.
