About
Event Cancelled.
Site Manager at RSPB Wallasea Island for 12 years, Rachel Fancy has seen the Island radically change and grow. At the start of her role, the nature reserve was a building site with all the Crossrail machinery moving tonnes of earth to turn into the wildlife haven it is today.
The talk will cover how the nature reserve was created and the partnership with Crossrail, running through the later habitat creation phase and finish looking at some of the wildlife highlights found on the reserve.
The 50-minute talk will be followed by a Q&A, then an optional, pre-booked Persian tasting menu at Azar Burnhan-on-Crouch's first Persian restaurant (£19.95 per person including Persian Meze Selection for starters, main course and dessert).
