About

Overlooking the River Crouch and with views across to Wallasea Island, Riverside Park is reached by a pleasant walk along the quayside, past historic pubs, a museum and resident houseboats. This superb open space is a naturalised area boasting an extensive wildflower meadow and providing habitat to a wide variety of wildlife. A network of all weather pathways encourages exploration of the woodland, hedgerows and ponds.

The view from the sea wall would make a lovely backdrop for a picnic; picnic tables are provided. There is a wide range of recreational activities on offer including an activity zone for older children, a trim trail and orienteering course. Relax in the small amphitheatre overlooking the beach area and watch the variety of yachts and boats on the river.
