Enjoy the quiet beauty of the early spring river during a two-hour cruise aboard a vintage sailing barge. Afterward, indulge in a seated two-course Sunday Roast lunch once back at the Quay.

Route: The barge heads down the river past various points of interest, including:

Maldon Promenade Park.

The statue of Byrhtnoth guarding Maldon against marauding Vikings.

Northea Island - a bird reserve owned by the National Trust.

Heybridge Basin - entrance to the Chelmer & Blackwater Canal.

Mill Beach - with its colorful beach huts on legs.

Osea Island - private island and resort on the Blackwater Estuary.

 

Ticket Prices:

Adults: £45.00 per person.

Children (aged 12 and under): £35.00 per person.

 

Lunch Menu:

Choose between roast beef or chicken with seasonal vegetables, Yorkshire puddings, potatoes roasted with olive oil and Maldon Sea Salt, and pan gravy.

Vegetarian/Vegan option: Butternut squash with cheesy leeks.
