About

On this guided walk from Sacke & Sugar Essex Tours you can discover the intriguing world of the Vikings and Saxons and learn the terrifying but moving story of the Battle of Maldon and the heroic defence by Byrhtnoth. The gentle two-mile walking tour is along paved footpaths and is wheelchair friendly, taking around an hour. Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome by prior arrangement. Optional fish and chip supper afterwards (paid on the day). Feel free to come dressed as a Viking or Saxon if you wish!
