About

New for the 2023 season, Seal Trips Essex offers a variety of cruises aboard Celtic Prince, a refurbished boat carrying up to 10 passengers, with toilet facilities, ample indoor and outdoor seating with a canopy, and the option of snacks and drinks on board.

Cruises can run all year round, but for those wishing to sea to colony of common seals the best time to go is from March to September. Celtic Prince navigates the rivers and creeks heading towards the “Middleway” where there are plenty of great opportunities to take in the wildlife and scenery whatever the season, especially for bird watchers.

The Seal Cruise takes two to three hours, with snacks and drinks available to pre-order. Sea Trips Essex also runs a Prosecco Cruise with a two-hour sailing time and a Celebration Cruise, designed for birthdays and other special occasions which lasts four hours and offers the chance to explore the creeks, head out to see, bring your own paddleboard and have your own refreshments on board.

Please remember to take extra clothing as the sea breezes can be chilly and wear sensible footwear.
