About

Maldon Gig Rowing Club was formed in the summer of 2013, with the aim to get as many people as possible out rowing, racing & enjoying our two beautiful Harkers Yard Gigs.

Gigs Record Reign and Ready are based at the Hythe Quay Maldon and have an all year programme of rowing. Sessions are tide and light dependent on Saturdays and Sundays and extra evening sessions are added over summer months. The club also takes part in the Harker's Yard Winter Series of racing together with approximately 8 other clubs around the Essex rivers and coastline from October to March. Races involve approximately 14 gigs and vary from mass starts, to time trials depending on the club location and local waters.
