About
After a lengthy period of refurbishment, Mayland's Henry Samuel Hall has been transformed, with new windows, new cladding, smart new accessible toilets, new kitchen and much more, creating a high-quality resource for the village. The original hall was transported to the site from London in 1908 by philanthropist Joseph Fel and used as a school for the children of agricultural workers. It was bought by Henry Samuel and left to the village on his death. While it had fallen into some disrepair over the years, the recent works have brought it up to modern standards thanks to the hard work of the committee.
