About

The Grade II Listed parish church was built in 1884 re-using some materials from a demolished older church. It has a timber framed steeple and shingled spire and a 15th century font.

The church contains two white marble War Memorial tablets (one of which was previously sited at a nearby Congregational Church) which contain the names of around a dozen servicemen who died in the First World War (differing slightly in each memorial) and two from the Second World War. The memorial includes Michael Wedgwood Benn, the older brother of Sir Anthony Wedgwood Benn, the politician better known as Tony Benn.
