Stow Maries Aerodrome John Guiver Credit Sept 2020

About

The Maldon Society's first talk of the year will be given by Roger Smith from Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome, who will be looking at the contribution made by Essex based squadrons in the defence of this country between 1915 and 1918.

Founded in 1957, the Maldon Society aims to promote and preserve the historical heritage of this town and its surrounding area by encouraging civic pride in the area nd promoting co-operation with other organisations. We hold monthly talks on local buildings, people and events. These are open to the public as well as members with the intention of promoting an appreciation of our heritage as widely as possible.
