About

Join us at Maldon Town Hall to learn about the iconic Thames sailing barge and the role these vessels played in our history.

The course is spread over a two week period and will look at the way the barge has developed over the years, what it was used for, and how these historic vessels continue to sail around the East Anglian coast and the Thames estuary today.

The course will be taught by a Workers' Educational Association (WEA) guest tutor, John Rayment of the Thames Sailing Barge Trust, at
Maldon Town Hall, Market Hill, Maldon, Essex CM9 4RL.

This is a course across two days sponsored by the Thames Sailing Barge Trust but organised by the Workers Education Association.

The two day event costs £16.80 and is free to those on mean tested benefits.

Call 0300 303 3464 quoting code Q00012732 to book. Or visit WEA adult learning courses | (wea.org.uk) or Events & Activities ~ (bargetrust.org) to find out more information.
